Android’s next version android 2.4 is codenamed as Ice-cream sandwich.Google announced it on IO conference 2011 today that next version will reduce the problem faced by android called “fragmentation”. The new version will be suitable for all kind of smartphones and tablets with advanced UI and app framework.

The previous version “honey comb” is specially made for Tablet PC’s and these features will now be available on smartphones too.
Google has started focusing on the fragmentation issue as more and more android devices around 100 million everyday are activated all in different form like smartphones and tablet PC’s and in near future Icecream sandwich will bring up the “One OS Everywhere”-Google
