Youtube has upgraded its video player with its new simple interface.The new version is not available for all the videos, however this can be rolled out to all videos soon.

Some features about this new player interface:

Seek bar is semi transparent

The playback button, volume slider, information about the length of the video and a selector for different video resolutions are now situated below the status bar.

There’s no button for captions or annotations if these features are not available.

Right click on the video and select –> show video info to see the information about the video

This new player doesn’t work in embeds and videos with advertisements.
