Nokia joins with microsoft to tackle smartphone battle

Nokia have taken a major decision to join with Microsoft in smartphone manufacturing.The finland based mobile phone manufacturer was a industry leader in smartphone sales worldwide is now facing the heat from Growing android phones not to mention apple devices.

Nokia has sales declining in past few months as the android growth was huge in past quarter.

Stephen Elop,Nokia’s current CEO former Microsoft executive has announced this deal along with Steve ballmer.

 Nokia will adopt Windows Phone as its primary smartphone strategy, innovating on top of the platform in areas such as imaging, where Nokia is a market leader.

 Nokia will adopt windows OS thus discarding out all the previous symbian versions.This caused rattle in the developer communities as the there will be job cuts and organisational changes in nokia.See full list of announcements
